Portable Eyewash
What are the US requirements for portable eyewash stations?
My company sells a system that uses copious amounts of caustic alkali (KOH, NaOH). I am going add to the trailer a portable eyewash station (the kind with just a couple bottles). Does it need to be certified by some organization? What are the requirements? Thanks!
There are a lot of rules on this subject.
the standard for osha compliance on this issue is:ANSI Z358.1-1981,

theese are some of the links that I looked up.
There are many more talking about what is required and how it is to be maintained.
so yes I think it does need to be certified.
the occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) would be the best standard to follow.
