Whelen Model
Is a Whelen Model SA315P a PA?
I am having a problem understand this problem. I have a Cobra CB/PA and am now looking for the best or a great speaker (taking into mind I drive an ’05 Wrangler Jeep TJ if thats needed) but know little about this. this is the information givin through the web site “The Whelen Projector Series SA315P speakers are the new standard in siren speakers. These speakers offer amazing performance in a package of only 2.9″ thick. With a full 100 Watts of warning power this speaker when combined with a 100 Watt siren will move traffic out of your way when you respond to a call. Installation of the SA315P only takes minutes and is perfect for concealed installations. The Whelen SA315P speaker exceeds California Title XIII, Class A, and SAE J8149 requirements”. Please any feed back or guidance will help me out!
It is a speaker. It will reproduce sound sent to it electrically or electronically, be that voice or siren sounds.
So yes, it is a Public Address device.
If you notice on Whelen’s website, they have sirens that you could hook up to the SA315P. If you simply hook it up to the “PA” outlet on the back of your CB, it will produce your voice when the switch on the front of the CB is actuated.
